Adventure 2016 - Road trip in 1964 GTO

In August 2016, James and I (and Olive) took a road trip to Ticonderoga, New York in a 1964 GTO.  It was wonderful and a good life lesson for James - we had car troubles, torrential rains and lots of adventure to deal with.  But guess what?  We had so much fun.

We overcame the car issues using our heads and not panicking.  We handled the rain by getting our camp site ready first thing in the morning when we heard it was going to pour.  We enjoyed a 6-mile hike in the pouring rain.  We survived 3 days without cell service (so lovely for me to have him all to myself!). 

AND, we went to the drive-in :)

Now, James if off to Toronto to go to Ryerson University, and I will cherish this trip we had together.  It is sometimes hard to spend quality time with work and other responsibilities getting in the way.  Good luck my love, I know you will blossom, as you always do.

Adventure 2016 - Colombia March

I took a second trip, this time to Cartagena, Colombia.  What an amazing place.  I loved every moment of this trip and wished I could have stayed longer.

Adventure 2016 - Cuba February

I did my first solo trip to Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba.  It was fun, the beaches were beautiful and the weather was perfect.

I made sure to smoke a good Cuban cigar

Went to a Buena Vista Social Club show

Met some lovely ladies from New Brunswick and Ottawa

Spent a week in the sun

 Overall, it was a pretty good trip.

Happy New Year!

I wish to have bone deep happiness, the kind you read about, the kind some people have already been so fortunate to have found, the kind that leaves you positively brimming and glowing and grinning, shouting off the rooftops how wonderful life is.

I want to be fulfilled, to feel like I have accomplished something wonderful, something worthwhile, something grand, even if just to my eyes.

I wish for 2016 to be a year filled with things for me and about me, I want to be selfish and self-centered; I want to know myself, really, really know myself.

I want 2016 to be a wonderful year, full of love, discovery, travel, adventure and above satisfaction.
