Good beginning

I am extremely proud to say that the BMA has now begun trail creation and clearing at the Larose Forest. Riding will start next spring. I will start planning a family-oriented event there in June 2009. Woohoo!!

Edward decides he is ready to ride his JR50 and hopes to get a KTM soon.  By the end of the day, he was eyeing James' 65!!

Larose Forest Part 2

Le Conseil des Comtés unis vient tout juste d’approuver la recommandation du comité d’Urbanisme et de Foresterie de permettre un système de sentiers dans la Forêt Larose au club BMA.  Tu trouveras en annexe une copie du rapport qui a été présenté ce matin.  Le sujet du BMA est à l’item 4.  Félicitation pour ton excellent travail dans ce dossier. 

 

Nous avons déjà mandaté la firme Horizon Multiressources pour trouver un site approprié dans les endroits ou nous avons discuté.  Nous serons en discussion avec très bientôt.  Mon intention est d’avoir une approbation des sentiers par la fin juin.

Larose Forest

A small victory.  The Planning and Forestry Committee has agreed unanimously to recommend to Council that they look for a location for ORM trails.  Once this has been decided, my proposal will be presented to Council for a final approval.  All this should be done by June 2008.  This will be on a one-year trial basis, but I am not worried about my club not "passing".

Looking forward to all this snow melting and getting the bikes out.

Waiting for spring

Mid-January and I am already counting down the days until I can ride again.  It probably doesn't help that I have to get ready to make a presentation in March to the U.C.P.R. Council asking for access to the Larose Forest... seems to put riding on my mind, a lot!  

So, I hope to post some new riding pictures soon.  Until then, lots of hockey and maybe some skiing.
